The vibrant festival of Onam was celebrated with great enthusiasm and cultural pride by the World Malayalee Council (WMC) Kuwait Province on October 3rd, 2025. The grand event, titled HRIDYAM 2025, brought together members of the Malayalee community in Kuwait for an unforgettable day of tradition, joy, and togetherness.
I was deeply honored to attend the celebration as the Guest of Honor, alongside our esteemed President, Sri. Babu Stefan. It was indeed a privilege to witness the warmth, unity, and cultural spirit that filled the venue. The event stood as a testament to the dedication and organizational excellence of the WMC Kuwait team, who ensured that every aspect of the celebration truly reflected the essence of Malayalee heritage and Onam’s timeless charm.
The program featured a delightful array of traditional Kerala cuisine, colorful cultural performances, and engaging games that brought smiles to people of all ages. Every moment resonated with the nostalgia of Kerala’s traditions—right from the rhythmic beats of Kerala music to the aroma of the sumptuous Onam Sadhya. It was heartwarming to see the community come together in such large numbers, cherishing the spirit of Onam even while living miles away from home.
As the Global Vice Chairman of WMC, I felt immense pride and gratitude towards our WMC Kuwait family, whose relentless efforts have made the Malayalee community in Kuwait proud. Their passion for cultural preservation and community bonding reflects the true spirit of the World Malayalee Council’s mission—to unite Malayalees across the globe and keep our traditions alive.
A special note of appreciation to the entire WMC Kuwait team for organizing such a memorable and joyous event. HRIDYAM 2025 was not just a celebration, but a beautiful reminder of our shared roots and the strength of our global Malayalee family. I look forward to many more such gatherings and social programs that will continue to strengthen our cultural and emotional connection with society.
Kudos to the WMC Kuwait team for making HRIDYAM 2025 a grand success!
