World Malayalee Council Celebrates School Reopening with Learning Material Distribution for Special Children

The World Malayalee Council (WMC), Valluvanad Province, successfully organized the School Reopening Festival and Educational Learning Materials Distribution Programme at the Swasraya Special School – Child Development and Vocational Training Centre for Differently Abled, Kuttur, Thrissur, marking the beginning of the new academic year with a strong commitment to inclusive education and community service.

The programme was formally inaugurated by World Malayalee Council India Region President, Mr. Padmakumar, who lit the traditional ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the commencement of the new academic year and the distribution of essential educational materials to children with special needs.

The function was presided over by WMC Global Vice Chairman, Mr. Surendran Kannatt, who also served as the principal sponsor of the initiative. Addressing the gathering, he reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to supporting educational and social welfare initiatives that empower differently-abled children and promote equal learning opportunities.

The event witnessed the participation of several distinguished guests, community leaders, and representatives of the World Malayalee Council, who shared inspiring messages and extended their best wishes to the students as they embarked on a new academic journey.
