As the chief guest of a childhood cancer care program in chavara cultural centre in Cochin, it was a different but touching experience.
This Onam function for children battling cancer was a poignant reminder of the resilience of the human spirit.
Witnessing these young souls in critical health conditions was heart-wrenching, yet their smiles and joy in the face of adversity were truly inspiring.
As one of the sponsors of the Onam kits, which included nutrition food and other essentials, I felt a deep sense of responsibility and compassion.
Seeing happiness brought to their faces, despite the challenges they face, was both rewarding and humbling.
In the meantime similar few other programs were Organised in two districts in Kerala.
Building on this experience, I was privileged to play a role in organizing Onam celebrations for palliative care patients in Attappady, Palakkad district, and Kallikkad, Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala.
These events aimed to bring joy and comfort to around 300 families of critically ill patients by distributing food and dresses to their families.
Despite their health struggles, the smiles and gratitude of the patients and their families made the effort worthwhile.
The presence of dignitaries added to the significance of the occasion, highlighting the importance of community support for those in need.
