DESCRIPTION:I had the honour of attending the Fifth Loka Kerala Sabha\, held at Thiruvananthapuram from 29th January to 31st January 2026. The prestigious gathering took place at the historic Kerala Legislative Assembly\, bringing together distinguished delegates and members from across the globe. \nThe three-day assembly served as a significant platform for dialogue\, collaboration\, and policy-level engagement between Kerala and its global diaspora. It was truly a wonderful experience to reconnect with fellow members\, exchange perspectives\, and collectively reflect on the progress and aspirations of the Malayalee community worldwide. \nOne of the most memorable aspects of the event was the opportunity to share meaningful moments with LKS members within the Assembly premises — a space that symbolizes democratic values\, governance\, and collective responsibility. The atmosphere throughout the sessions was intellectually enriching and emotionally inspiring. \nI extend my sincere gratitude to the organizers of LKS for providing me the opportunity to address the gathering on stage as an LKS Member representing Telangana. Being able to share a few words at such a distinguished forum was both an honour and a deeply cherished milestone. \nThe Fifth Loka Kerala Sabha will remain a remarkable experience\, marked by unity\, vision\, and the shared commitment of global Malayalees toward the development and progress of Kerala.

By backing the Palliative care support programme\, Kannatt Surendran reinforced the importance of sustained private support in community health initiatives. \nIn recognition of his consistent service\, the Kallikkad Grama Panchayat President formally honored him during the function. \nImpact of the Palliative Care Support Programme on 350 Families\nThe Palliative care support programme directly benefited nearly 350 families caring for bedridden and elderly patients. \nThe materials distributed included: \n\n\nWheelchairs and walkers for improved mobility \n\n\nWaterbeds and blankets for bedridden comfort \n\n\nDiapers and medicines for essential healthcare support \n\n\nClothing and daily necessities for struggling families \n\n\nEach item delivered through the Palliative care support programme carried more than practical value—it provided comfort and emotional reassurance. \nWhy Matters\nThe success of the Palliative care support programme demonstrates how collaboration between local governance\, care centers\, and responsible individuals can create meaningful change. \nWhen such initiatives are organized with genuine intent\, families facing palliative challenges feel supported rather than isolated.
